Motorcyclists plan to protest across France Sept. 21-22. The purpose of the protests is to denounce regulations impacting inspections for motorcycles. It was not immediately clear how many participants may attend the gatherings. The full list of planned demonstrations can be found here. Planned gatherings include:
Alpes-Maritimes: Participants will gather at Esplanade Francis Palmero in Menton from 14:30 on Sept. 22 before proceeding to Nice. They will almost certainly travel mainly via the A8 highway.
Hauts-de-France region: Participants will gather on Avenue l'Epinette in Seclin at 13:00 on Sept. 21 before traveling via the A1 highway to Place de la Republique in Lille.
Montpellier: Protest at le Zenith on Avenue Albert Einstein from 13:00 on Sept. 21.

Strasbourg: Gathering at Rue de Rochefort from 13:45 on Sept. 21 before departing for a motorcycle procession at 14:00.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near all demonstration sites. Transport disruptions are likely on all roadways where motorcycle processions occur, as participants are likely to move slowly in order to obstruct traffic. Low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers or frustrated motorists cannot be ruled out.
Avoid all protest sites as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near any demonstration sites or procession routes. Consider traveling via alternate routes to avoid roadways affected by processions. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
