Supporters of President Xiomara Castro plan to rally in Tegucigalpa on Sept. 14 and 15. Participants will gather from 08:00 Sept. 14 outside the Presidential Palace (Casa Presidencial), located on Boulevard Juan Pablo II. The following day, supporters will gather for an event to celebrate the country's independence at Jose de la Paz Herrera Ucles National Stadium in the Barrio Morazan area from 06:00. Officials will implement road closures near both events. The gatherings could draw very large crowds.

Security forces will monitor the gatherings, and transport and business disruptions are likely near the events. Other rallies or anti-government demonstrations may also materialize. The planned events will likely remain peaceful, but skirmishes cannot be ruled out.
