Animal rights activists plan to demonstrate against bullfighting in Madrid on Sept. 21 and in Logrono on Sept. 22. The AnimaNaturalis and CAS International campaign groups will demand an end to the practice. Attendees will gather:

  • Madrid: Las Ventas bullring, at 17:00 Sept. 21

  • Logrono: Plaza del Mercado, at 12:00 Sept. 22.

It is possible that several hundred to low thousands will participate in each event, based on similar protests in 2023.

Authorities will likely deploy increased security to the protest locations. Localized transport disruptions are possible. Significant violence is not likely.

Avoid the protests as a standard precaution and consider seeking alternative routes to circumvent the impacted areas. Heed all instructions from local authorities.
