Spain: Workers to protest in Seville Sept. 19-20
Autoworkers to protest at ITV El Pino location on Sept. 19 and VEIASA headquarters on Sept. 20 in Seville, Spain. Disruptions likely.
Unionized car inspectors plan to protest in Seville Sept. 19-20. The purpose of the demonstrations is to demand a new collective bargaining agreement. The demonstrations coincide with a strike by car inspectors. Participants will conduct the following protests:
Sept. 19: Inspeccion Tecnica de Vehiculos (ITV) El Pino location on Calle El Pino Central 11:00-14:00.
Sept. 20: Verificaciones Industriales de Andalucia (VEIASA) headquarters on Calle Albert Einstein 11:00-13:00.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the protest site. Though unlikely, low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers cannot be ruled out.
Avoid the protest areas as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near either demonstration. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
