The fire started in a building that makes zinc-based products; authorities warn of potentially toxic fumes and advise nearby residents to keep windows closed. There are no reports of casualties.

Authorities will almost certainly maintain a heightened security presence in the affected area until the fire has been completely extinguished. Transport and business disruptions will probably affect the vicinity of the incident site through Sept. 3.
