Members and supporters of the Assembly of Turkish People's Representatives organization will hold a demonstration at Incirlik Air Base in Adana on Sept. 28. The purpose of the demonstration is to denounce NATO and NATO support for Israel. Activists are marching to Adana from Istanbul, where they set out on Sept. 15. The march has stopped in cities along the way, occasionally drawing large crowds. It was not immediately clear when marchers would arrive at Incirlik Air Base.
Heightened security and transport disruptions are likely along the route used by the demonstrators and near Incirlik Air Base on the rally date. Clashes between demonstrators and law enforcement officers cannot be ruled out.
Avoid all demonstrations as a precaution. Avoid the vicinity of Incirlik Air Base as a precaution on Sept. 28. Allow additional time to reach destinations in central and eastern Adana during the protest. Strictly heed all instructions of authorities. Leave the area at the first sign of any security disturbance.
