Argentina, Chile: Authorities reopen Los Libertadores border crossing Oct. 9 /update 1

Authorities have reopened the Los Libertadores border crossing (the Cristo Redentor tunnel), which connects the Argentinean province of Mendoza with the Chilean region of Valparaiso, from 13:00 on Oct. 9. The crossing had been closed due to adverse winter weather.

Further weather-related disruptions to cross-border transport and local traffic remain possible over the coming weeks.
