Honduras: Protesting transport workers block National Route 15 with burning tires in Comayaguela Oct. 17

Transport workers have launched a protest in the Cerro Grande Zona 2 area of Comayaguela, Francisco Morazan Department, Oct. 17, blocking National Route 15 (Ruta Nacional 15, RN15) with burning tires. The route connects the capital region with Olancho Department to the northeast. The purpose of the demonstration is to denounce national transport authorities' regulations and sanctions. The number of people participating in the protest was not immediately clear.
