Authorities will enforce a mandatory evacuation in Ferencvaros district, Budapest Oct. 5 to dispose of unexploded WWII ordnance. Excavators discovered the bomb on Soroksari Road. Officials plan a 600 meters (660 yard) radius evacuation area throughout the morning. It is not known when the operation will conclude.
Transport disruptions and heightened security are likely near the evacuation area and may persist for several hours after the operation concludes.
Avoid the affected area on Oct. 5 until authorities give the all-clear. Check for transport disruptions before beginning journeys and allow extra time for travel. Heed instructions from authorities.
