The Indian National Congress (INC) and other groups representing backward communities will protest outside the Police Bhavan office in Gandhinagar, Gujarat State, Oct. 23. Organizers claim over 500 people will demonstrate to demand action against the Additional Director General of Police for the alleged ill-treatment of INC leader Jignesh Mevani during a recent meeting.
