Iran: Israel launches airstrikes targeting Iran as of early Oct. 26

Israel Defense Forces report retaliatory airstrikes against Iran in progress as of early Oct. 26. Take shelter immediately.

Critical

Israel launched retaliatory strikes against Iran as of early Oct. 26. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced that its forces are attacking military targets in Iran. The development comes shortly after multiple explosions were reported in Tehran and neighboring Karaj.

Increased security and localized ground transport disruptions will likely affect the vicinities of the blasts. Authorities will likely introduce enhanced security measures in response to the attack. Authorities may also close Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA) for the duration of the aerial attack. Further isolated security incidents and attacks cannot be ruled out.

If incoming projectiles or rockets are reported or warning sirens sound in the general vicinity, report to the nearest bomb shelter and await further instructions from authorities. Stay indoors and away from windows and exterior walls if no shelter is nearby. If possible, move to a ground floor or basement. Maintain contact with diplomatic missions. Avoid all demonstrations and concentrations of security personnel. Reconfirm flights and the status of roads and border crossings. Arrive early at airports to allow additional time for processing if aviation operations are maintained. Monitor local media and abide by security forces' directives.
