France: Flight cancellations reported at Nantes Atlantique Airport, Nov. 6, due to firefighter and rescue staff strike
Inbound and outbound flights canceled at Nantes Atlantique Airport, France, through at least late Nov. 6. Reconfirm flights.
Most inbound and outbound flights at Nantes Atlantique Airport (NTE) have been canceled through at least late Nov. 6 due to an ongoing strike by firefighters and rescue workers. The NTE Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Service strike is to demand higher wages and improved working conditions. NTE officials have recommended that passengers contact airlines and travel agencies directly if impacted by the disruptions.
Flights are expected to resume as scheduled on Nov. 7, but lingering flight disruptions are possible as airlines reposition aircraft and work through passenger backlogs. Further cancellations could occur should the strike continue at NTE.
If traveling via NTE on Nov. 6, reconfirm all flight reservations, and do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed. Consider arriving early at the airport to offset any check-in and security clearance delays once operations at NTE resume on Nov. 7.
