Transport disruptions are likely along several S-Bahn rail lines in Berlin's Neukolln borough through at least the end of Nov. 1 as police perform follow-up investigations to a previous security incident. According to local law enforcement, officers are searching train tracks in the area in an effort to locate evidence in a case involving the Oct. 30 discovery of a bag containing explosive material at the Neukolln S-Bahn station. Police are also searching for a man believed to have been transporting the explosives. The operation is disrupting rail traffic along lines 41, 42, 45, 46, and 47 between Treptower Park, Baumschulenweg, and Hermannstrasse.
Residual disruptions could continue for several hours after police end their search operations.
