Serbia: Activists plan to demonstrate and block traffic in Novi Sad on Nov. 29

Activists and opposition politicians plan to protest in Novi Sad on Nov. 29. Participants will block roads in the city for 15 minutes from 11:52. The demonstration will commemorate the deaths of 15 people when the city's railway station partially collapsed, at that exact time on Nov. 1, and demand a thorough investigation into the events. Protestors are also likely to gather at the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime, Ustanicka No. 29. It is likely that several hundred protesters will take part. Additional protests are possible across Serbia.

Authorities will likely maintain increased security near the affected area through Nov. 29 and possibly in the coming days. Localized road travel disruptions are likely near the demonstration site. Limited confrontations are possible.
