Political activists and local residents plan to protest at the courthouse in Novi Sad, from 14:00 Nov. 7. Organizers will denounce the arrest of Goran Jesic, a local politician, during a demonstration on Nov. 5. Local groups will also continue to demand justice following the collapse of part of the railway station, Nov. 1, which killed 14 people and which prompted the demonstration Nov. 5. Several thousand people attended the event on Nov. 5; similar numbers may take part in this demonstration.

Increased security will likely remain across the city through Nov. 7. Heightened security and road closures may prompt localized road travel and transport disruptions. Scuffles between protesters and security forces are possible and may cause further localized disruptions. Further protests are likely in the coming days

Avoid all affected areas as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling through Novi Sad Nov. 7. Heed instructions from local authorities. Immediately leave the area at the first signs of security disturbances.
