Political activists affiliated with numerous organizations plan to gather and protest in urban centers across the Valencia Region Nov. 29-30. The purpose of the gatherings is to denounce the local government's emergency response to the flooding that occurred on Oct. 29 which led to the death of 229 people; protesters will also demand the resignation of the Valencia Region President, Carlos Mazon. Organizers call for protests in all urban centers of the region on Nov. 29 and plan for a centralized protest at Plaza de la Virgen in Valencia City on Nov. 30; the time of the demonstration remains unclear. Thousands of participants could attend based on previous events.
