Poland: Activists to demonstrate in Warsaw Dec. 5
Activists to march from Ulica Tadeusza Czackiego to Sejm in Warsaw, Poland, from 13:30 Dec. 5. Heightened security likely.
Activists plan to march from 3/5 Ulica Tadeusza Czackiego to the Sejm (Parliament) on Wiejska Ulica from 13:30 Dec. 5. The purpose of the demonstration is to denounce the closure of mental health facilities. It was not immediately clear how many participants may attend.
Law enforcement officers will likely deploy along the march route to facilitate the procession. The march and possible police road closures will likely disrupt vehicular transport. Low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers or frustrated motorists cannot be ruled out.
Avoid the affected area as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near or between 3/5 Ulica Tadeusza Czackiego and the Sejm. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
