Authorities have arrested the suspect in a shooting at the Osasco City Hall (Prefeitura do Municipio de Osasco) in Osasco, Sao Paulo State, late Jan. 6. Reports indicate that a member of the office's security team shot and killed Adilson Custoio Moreira, deputy secretary of Security and Urban Control of Osasco, after an altercation in a staff meeting in the afternoon. The perpetrator subsequently barricaded the door before surrendering to a police unit at approximately 19:30. Police appear to have deployed to the site in large numbers.
