Informational

Activists and students from Belgrade's University of Arts plan to protest and blockade the E-75 Highway Mostar Interchange, in central Belgrade, from 14:00 Jan. 10. The purpose of the action is to denounce the Prosecutor's Office's approach to the investigations regarding a previous incident regarding university students. Several hundred participants are likely to attend.

Authorities will likely deploy increased security to monitor the gathering. Road travel and transport disruptions are likely through the E-75 Highway Mostar Interchange through the afternoon of Jan. 10. Limited confrontations between participants and law enforcement officers or disgruntled drivers cannot be excluded.

Avoid the protest area as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling in central Belgrade Jan. 10. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately leave the area at the first signs of confrontation.
