According to the Algerian Civil Protection, numerous towns in the wilayats of Tizi Ouzou and Bouira have been cut off from the rest of the country over the past few days due to winter weather conditions. Roads leading to the towns of Benni Yenni, Iboudraren, Aïn El-Hammam, Iferhunen, Illiten, Al-Asnam, and Aghbalou reportedly remain blocked by snow as of Wednesday, February 7. No casualties or material damage has been reported.
