Main roads blocked by snow in center and east of the country February 7-8

According to the Algerian Civil Protection, traffic is disrupted on several main roads in the center and east of the country - notably in the wilayats of Tizi OuzouBouira, Setif, Bejaia, M'Sila, Batna, Blida, and Medea - due to snow. The following highways are reportedly blocked or severely disrupted by the snow as of February 8:
-    Tizi Ouzou: the roads linking Benni Yenni and Iboudraren (RN30 and RN33), between Aïn El-Hammam and Bouira and in Iferhunen
-    Bouira: the RN33 road in Al-Asnam; the RN15 in Aghbalou
-    Setif: the road linking Bouandas and Aït Tizi; the RN76 between Guenzet and the wilayat of Bordj Bou Arreridj
-    Batna: the RN31 between Batna and Merouana
-    Blida: the RN64 between Bougara and Aissaouia
-    M’Sila: the CW (Chemin de la Wilayat) between Maadid and the village of Eghil
-    Medea: the RN60 between Ouled Antar and Boghar; the RN1 between Ksar El Boukhari and Meftaha
-    Bejaia: the RN26 in Chellata

Driving conditions are likely to remain hazardous in the coming days.
