Libya: Clashes in Zawiyah February 20

Clashes erupted between militias in Zawiyah on Tuesday, February 20. The clashes, which broke out early in the morning (local time), were reported near the Coastal Highway to the south of the city, near the Bir al-Ghanem bridge. The current extent of the clashes is unknown. Tensions have been high in Zawiyah during recent weeks, and the situation has the potential to escalate; avoid the area at present.
