India: Deadly storms in Andra Pradesh May 2

Heavy downpours and lightning storms resulted in the deaths of 11 people on May 2 in Andra Pradesh state. Heavy rainfall and deadly lightning storms are frequent in India during monsoon period. On April 29, 11 people were killed in Bihar state due to lightning strikes. According to authorities, over 2,000 people die due to lightning strikes in India every year.
