Belgium: 48-hour rail strike scheduled for June 28-30
CGSP-Cheminots union calls for 48-hour strike to take place June 28-30; anticipate rail disruptions

Workers at the SNCB (Belgium's national train operator) represented by the CGSP-Cheminots union are set to stage a 48-hour strike from 22:00 (local time) on Thursday, June 28, to 22:00 on Saturday, June 30. Train delays, modified timetables, last-minute cancelations, and overcrowding on available trains are possible during and following strike.
Nevertheless, on Monday, June 18, the SACT, SIC, and Metisp-Protect unions suspended a series of strikes initially schedule for late June and early July following the opening of negotiations with the government.
