Jamaica: Ban on powdered products on US-bound flights
TSA to ban powdered products from carry-on luggage on US-bound flights from Jamaica beginning June 30

According to Jamaican media sources, travelers flying to the US from Jamaica will be banned from transporting powdered products weighing 340 g (12 oz) or more in carry-on luggage for security reasons. The ban will affect travelers at Montego Bay-Sangster (MBJ) and Kingston-Norman Manley (KIN) international airports. The measure, set to go into effect on June 30, will apply to all powders, such as spices and coffee, with the exception of baby formula. The ban has reportedly been ordered by the US’s Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
