Spain: Taxi strike in Barcelona July 25-26

Taxi drivers in Barcelona will hold a 48-hour strike beginning at 06:00 (local time) on Wednesday, July 25. Reduced taxi availability and increased demand for other forms of transportation (bus, metro, other car services) are to be anticipated. An associated demonstration will be held beginning at 11:00 on July 25 in front of the Catalonia Supreme Court building. Associated traffic congestion is possible in the vicinity, notably if taxi drivers attempt to block roads. Additional protests are possible.
