Lebanon: Armed Forces Day August 1

Celebrations for Armed Forces Day will take place around Beirut on Wednesday, August 1. Various roads will be fully or partially closed from 05:00 to 12:00 (local time) in the southeast neighborhoods of the capital. The closures will affect portions of the Beirut-Damas highway near Hazmiyeh, the road between Jamhour and the Sayyad Roundabout in Hazmiyeh, and the eastbound portion of the Karantina Highway. In addition, parking restrictions will be in place starting on Tuesday, July 31, between Galerie Matta and Jamhour, as well as around Baabda and Hadeth. Security measures will be significantly increased throughout the area during the event.
