Belgrade's Nikola Tesla International Airport (BEG) has been closed since the morning of Wednesday, September 12, after an Egyptair jet landed with burst tires, blocking the runway. Numerous incoming flights have been diverted to airports in Nis (Serbia) and Budapest (Hungary). Flight operations may remain suspended throughout the day and it remains unclear when the airport is expected to reopen.
