Austria: Anti-government demonstration in Vienna October 11

A demonstration is scheduled to take place in the capital Vienna on Thursday, October 11, against the far-right components of the government coalition. Protesters will gather at 18:00 (local time) in front of the Austrian People's Party (OVP) headquarters, before marching towards Urban-Loritz-Platz. Associated transportation and traffic disruptions are anticipated in the vicinity of the march. Further related protests are expected in coming weeks, as organizers announced they may hold demonstrations every Thursday.

A related demonstration took place at Ballhausplatz in Vienna on October 4; no incidents were reported.
