Context

Jamal Khashoggi fled Saudi Arabia in 2017 after criticizing the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad bin Salman. Khashoggi disappeared on October 2 after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. On October 20, Saudi officials announced that Khashoggi had been killed inside the consulate.
