Belgium: Strike, disruptions continue at Brussels Airport October 30 /update 5

A wildcat strike launched by baggage handlers at Brussels-Zaventem International Airport (BRU) on October 25 is expected to continue until at least the end of the day Tuesday, October 30, and potentially longer. The strike by employees of the company Aviapartner has resulted in major disruptions, including more than 700 flight cancelations and the interruption of checked baggage delivery services. Some flights have been rerouted to Brussels-Charleroi (CRL), Amsterdam-Schiphol (AMS), and Düsseldorf (DUS) international airports. Further such disruptions are to be anticipated throughout the duration of the walkout.
