Far-right rally and counter-protests to take place in Berlin on November 9; localized transportation disruptions expected, along with possible clashes

A protest organized by the far-right group Wir für Deutschland (WfD; We for Germany) is set to take place in the capital Berlin on Friday, November 9. Participants will gather at 18:30 (local time) at Washingtonplatz. Counter demonstrations have been scheduled throughout the city, including at Washingtonplatz, from 16:00. Localized transportation disruptions are expected. Clashes between protesters and counter-protesters, or with security forces, are possible.
