Spain: Residual disruptions after evacuation at Madrid Atocha station Nov. 7

Residual disruptions to rail services are being reported at Madrid's Atocha train station as of the early afternoon (local time) of Wednesday, November 7. Earlier on Wednesday, security forces ordered the evacuation of the train station following reports of a suspicious object. A heightened security presence is expected in the area in the near term. Residual rail disruptions are to be anticipated in the coming hours.
