Austria: Weekly protests to continue in Vienna December 6 /update 1

A protest is slated to be held in front of Vienna Mitte station at 18:00 (local time) on Thursday, December 6. A heightened security presence and transportation disruptions are to be expected near the demonstration site.   

Context

The planned December 6 protests mark the tenth iteration of weekly protests organized by groups opposed to the far-right components of the current governing coalition. Though the original impetus for the protests centered around Austria's new environmental and immigration policies, the scope of the protesters' grievances has expanded in subsequent protests.
