UAE: Sharjah Airport adds restrictions on baggage
Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) implements new restrictions on checked baggage dimensions and type effective December 4

Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) announced a new baggage policy that will limit the size and type of checked bags effective Tuesday, December 4. As of December 4, all checked bags must:
- Have at least one flat surface
- Be no larger than 75 cm x 60 cm x 90 cm (29.5 in x 23.6 in x 35.4 in)
- Not be secured with rope or string
- Be individual bags, not two or more bags taped together
Oversize bags or bags without one flat surface must be checked at the "Oversize Baggage Counter." For bags without a flat surface, repacking services are available for a fee. Other baggage not complying with the abovementioned regulations will not be accepted.
