Islamic State (IS) militants have killed six of ten hostages kidnapped from Al-Foqha (Jufra district) according to reports released on Sunday, December 9. Militants had abducted the group during an October attack. Similar IS attacks are possible in Jufra district over the near term.
Context
IS militants have continued to carry out attacks on security forces and infrastructure in Libya since being driven out of their former stronghold of Sirte in late 2016.
