India: Dense fog results in train cancelations until February

Service for 66 trains canceled or reduced until February 15, 2019, due to forecast dense fog in northern India

Railway operators announced on Thursday, December 13, that forecasts of dense fog will result in significant disruptions to train service in northern India from Thursday until February 15, 2019. Up to 66 train routes will be canceled, diverted, or have reductions in service, including scheduled services to Delhi and New Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Jaipur, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Patna, Allahabad, and Amritsar. Further adjustment to service is possible in the coming weeks.
