Russia: Parts of Moscow metro system closed January 2-8
Northeast and southern parts of the Moscow metro system to close for repairs January 2-8; plan to use alternative modes of transportation

Sections of Moscow’s metro system will be closed from Wednesday, January 2, through Tuesday, January 8, for maintenance. Between January 2-5, the Kurskaya-Schelkovskaya section of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya (blue) line will be shut down. The Partizanskaya-Schelkovskaya section of the same line will be closed from January 6-8. On the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya (purple) line, the Lermontovsky Prospekt, Julebino, and Kotelniki stations will be shut down from January 4-8. Replacement buses will be available to replace trains during the repairs.
