Labor unions representing taxi drivers have announced a demonstration in Warsaw on Monday, April 8, to protest app-based ride-sharing companies. Protesters are expected to march from the Prime Minister's office at 10:00 (local time) to the Ministry of Enterprise and Technology, via the Ministry of Justice, US Embassy, and Trzech Krzyzy (Three Crosses) square. Drivers are reportedly planning to gather at Arena COS Torwar from 06:00 ahead of the demonstration, and local sources have indicated traffic disruptions and associated road blockades are possible in the vicinity of the gathering. A heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions are to be expected in the vicinity of the demonstration.
