A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Chile approximately 86 km (53 mi) southwest of Tatal (Antofagasta region) on the morning (local time) of Friday, April 26. According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the quake occurred at 02:22 at a depth of 16 km (10 mi). No damages have been reported and no tsunami warning has been issued as of 03:05. Aftershocks are possible in the coming hours and days.
