Austria: Suspected gas explosion leads to partial collapse of two buildings in Vienna June 26

A suspected gas explosion was reported in the Preßgasse/Schäffergasse area of Vienna shortly after 16:30 (local time) on Wednesday, June 26, causing the partial collapse of two buildings. At least four people have been injured. Authorities have cordoned off the affected area and have advised individuals to avoid the vicinity of the incident site until further notice. 

A heightened security presence and localized traffic disruptions are to be expected in the area over the coming hours.
