South Africa: Protesters block roads in Limpopo August 6

Ongoing protests have caused road closures on the R81 road between Giyani and Mooketsi, and on the R578 at Hlaniki by local communities on Monday, August 6. Media reports indicate that protesters are demanding improved infrastructure. Roads have been closed since 05:00 (local time) and no information was immediately available regarding when the protests are expected to end.
