Ukraine: Investment forum to be held in Mariupol October 29

The RE: Think. Invest in Ukraine international investment forum will be held in Mariupol (Donetsk oblast) on Tuesday, October 29. Around 400 people, including President Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk, and other foreign delegates, are expected to attend the event. The forum will begin at 11:00 (local time) and end at 19:00. Events will be held at multiple locations including Spalah Hub and near the Central City Library. Heightened security measures, including checkpoints and road closures, are expected around the venues.

Local residents are also planning to hold rallies during the forum to highlight environmental issues in the city. A protest is scheduled to begin at 10:00 at Theater Square and similar demonstrations may be held in other areas of Mariupol. Residents are calling for the government to stop harmful emissions from metallurgical plants and for a greater response to associated allergic reactions and respiratory diseases. Localized traffic disruptions are anticipated around protest sites.
