Significant traffic disruptions have been reported on Thursday, November 28, as truck drivers blocked roads between 05:00 and 12:00 (local time) at the border between France and Belgium to protest the rise of fuel prices. Up to five hours of congestion was reported on the A22 highway, around the Rekkem border post.
The Fédération Nationale des Transports Routiers (FNTR) and the Organisation des Transporteurs Routiers Européens (OTRE) warned that similar operations could take place in the coming days, weeks, if their demands are not met.
