The US Geological Survey (USGS) recorded a 6.0-magnitude earthquake 51 km (32 mi) north-north-east of Siglufjörður (Northeastern region) on the north coast of Iceland on Sunday, June 21. The quake reportedly struck at 19:07 (local time) at a depth of 10km (6 mi). No damages, casualties, or associated disruptions were immediately reported in the area.

Aftershocks are possible in the affected area over the coming hours and days.
