South Africa: Protesters block roads in Hout Bay on August 3

Protesters in Hout Bay, Cape Town, have blocked several main roads in the area on Monday, August 3. Authorities have closed the main roads between Victoria Road and Disa River Road due to the protests. It is currently unclear what the cause of the protest is, however, recent protests in Hout Bay and greater Cape Town have been over impoverished communities that have tried to occupy vacant and communal land in the area.
