A blast which occurred in Zahedan (Sistan and Baluchestan province) on Wednesday, August 5, wounded at least four police officers patrolling the area. According to media sources, a sound device exploded shortly after midnight on Wednesday morning (local time) near a busy intersection in the Zibashahr district. A car was damaged in the incident. No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
Further attacks targeting security forces are possible in the region.
