Johannesburg police report on Thursday, August 27, that violent unrest has broken out in the Eldorado Park neighborhood following the police-involved shooting of a teenager a day earlier. Tear gas and rubber bullets were used in response after live ammunition was reportedly fired at the officers responding to the area. Four residents were arrested for public violence after at least three police officers were injured. Three police vehicles were also damaged during the protest.
