At least three people were injured when a train derailed near Teba (Malaga province) on Thursday, November 5, following heavy rainfall. The train, which had 43 passengers on board, was travelling between Algeciras and Madrid. The derailment was reportedly caused by the collapse of a bridge between the Almargen and Campillos stations. Local media sources indicate that the injuries were not life-threatening.

Further rainfall is expected in the area over the near term. A disruption to transportation is likely while emergency services carry out their work.
