Iran: Planned water outage to occur in Shiraz 0600-1800 Dec. 29

The Shiraz Water and Sewerage Company has announced that the water supply to some areas of Shiraz, Fars Province, will be suspended 0600-1800 Dec. 29 due to maintenance work. Residents may experience lingering disruptions, such as low-pressure supply, through late Dec. 29.

Some business disruptions are possible in the affected areas, especially at companies that rely heavily on municipal water to maintain operations.

Stock up on drinking water and confirm alternative water supplies for business operations. Use only bottled water from reputable suppliers for drinking and hygienic purposes. Pressure and quality may be poor after service resumes; run taps for several minutes before using water. Minimize nonessential water use throughout the outage.
